Sea of Hands volunteer opportunity details

ANTaR is planting the Sea of Hands on the front lawn of Parliament House 20 years (almost to the day) after our original iconic installation. This time the Sea of Hands will launch the Change the Record: National Youth Justice Action Plan. Please help ANTaR make this important campaign event a success by helping to create the Sea of Hands installation for the Monday morning campaign event.

We still need a helping hand on:

  •     Sunday 26th November afternoon between 12.30 and 4.30pm ish.
  •     Monday 27th November morning between 10.00 AM and 2 pm ish.

Location: Federation Mall, the grassed area in front of Parliament House, look for ANTaR banners.

Light snacks and refreshments are available. Volunteers should check the forecast and wear appropriate wet weather / sun protection as the case may be.

To volunteer please email antar@antar.org.au and include a phone number. Write Hand Plant Volunteer in the subject line of your email.

You can read more about the history of the Sea of Hands at this blog post on the AIATSIS website: From Art Petition to the People’s Movement for Reconciliation.
