Reminder: ANTaR ACT NAIDOC Week forum – 8 July

NAIDOC week is coming up and lots of events around Canberra. You can find out more in our last bulletin or check out the very comprehensive list on the ACTCOSS website.

Forum – What do we mean by Reconciliation?
Join us in conversation with Co-Chairs of the ACT Reconciliation Council, Genevieve Jacobs and Chris Bourke, to explore what we have learnt about reconciliation following on from the second ACT Reconciliation Day on 27 May. For background see this article: Is This Really Reconciliation? .
Where: The Castle Room, King O’Malleys, 131 City Walk, Canberra
When: 6 – 7.30pm, Monday 8 July
RSVP: not essential but would help with numbers, to info@antaract.org.au

Also for NAIDOC Week, we will have stalls at both the NAIDOC Family Day (11am – 4pm on Sunday 7 July at University of Canberra) and NAIDOC in the North (11am – pm on Saturday 13 July at Gunghalin Square). Please drop by to say hello.

Request for volunteers
With two stalls and a forum planned for NAIDOC week, we would appreciate any additional help. Please let us know if you would be available to assist at any event – but particularly for the 7 July stall. A committee member will be there to support, but great to have more people around to chat about issues of importance to ANTaR ACT with those who come by.
We are also still looking for help with our monthly bulletins and campaigning. Email info@antaract.org.au if you might be able to help.
