NAIDOC week in Canberra – 2018

NAIDOC Week (8-15 July 2018) events are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, ‘Because of her, we can!’, celebrates the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make – to our communities, our families, our rich history and to our nation. ANTaR ACT will have a stall at NAIDOC in the North, on Saturday 14 July, from 10 to 3, at Kingsford Smith School – Entry Via Hardwick Crescent, Holt
A celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander culture through songs, stories dance and ceremony featuring free, fun activities for the whole family. *Face painting and fun for kids *Live music and dance performances *Drop in art and craft workshops for all ages *Open photography exhibition *Food stalls, a bonfire, free hot damper and MORE.
